Housed in a superb 17th century mansion and once palace belonging to cardinal Annibal de Ceccano, the museum is the home of Enguerrand Quarton's famous masterpiece: "Le Couronnement de la Vierge" (The Crowning of the Virgin, 1453), the famous Vierge en Ivoire (Ivory Virgin, 14th c.) and a vast collection of painting from the 16th to 18th centuries including works by Simon de Châlons, Nicolas Mignard, Philippe de Champaigne and Reynaud Levieux.
